For this project I created branding and materials for a series discussing hoarding as a mental illness. The goals were to be informative, factual, and sensitive in the way in which it approached the material, while providing the viewer with the want to inform themselves on the topic. I named the series STACKED: A Hoarder’s Life. Using an isometric grid and a muted palette full of warm tones, I created three visual representations of different types of hoarding to intrigue the viewer from first glance.
The challenges were to name the series, create a consistent visual brand that is both informative and intriguing, and visualize what the brand would look like in different digital media and formats. The brand also needed to visualize the idea and break stigmas around hoarding, but in a sensitive manner and without the use of photography.
